Metropolita o Metropolitano: Se refiere al obispo que ocupa un asiento a la cabeza de una provincia importante (uso en Rusia) o si tiene cualquier cargo como titular (uso helénico).

Cada obispo es apoyado por dos consejeros. Juntos, el obispado cuida de las evacuación espirituales y sociales de los miembros de su distrito. El obispo ayuda a cada miembro de su congregación en sus esfuerzos por seguir a Jesús.

Es su tarea principal predicar y enseñar el Evangelio, Vencedorí como llevar la batuta los sacramentos y fijar que se cumplan las doctrinas y conocimiento de la Iglesia de forma adecuada.

This is the same message in 1 Timothy 5:17. In the early church there were two types of elders. There were elders who were gifted in administration – “rule well” – and those who worked hard at teaching/preaching. In many churches the elders who rule well are called lay elders and the other elders are called pastors.

Es importante destacar que la autoridad de un obispo no es absoluta, sin embargo que debe ejecutar Internamente de la estructura y las doctrina de la Iglesia Católica. Está sujeto a las directrices y decisiones del Papa, quien es el líder supremo de la Iglesia.

Por otra parte de ser el encargado de otros sacerdotes, asimismo lo es de conducir una Diócesis y junto al Papa y el resto de los Obispos comparte la responsabilidad de la iglesia católica en toda su plenitud.

Desde la aparición del cristianismo, los obispos han sido cargos muy influyentes que han dejado su parte en la historia, sobre todo en aquellos países donde esta religión representa un papel importante en la sociedad.

Titus 1:9 says that a pastor must hold to the “faithful word” – the Word of God. It is not enough for the Call Committee to read the doctrinal statement that he submitted when he applied for the position. How much of the Bible does he really know? If he is a recent seminary graduate, he should have a good grasp of scripture; but if he has been trasnochado of seminary for some time his grasp of scripture might be poor if he does not spend very much time studying it.

La función de un obispo según la Antiguo testamento es un tema importante y relevante Source en el contexto de la Iglesia cristiana. A lo grande de las Sagradas Escrituras, encontramos varias referencias que nos brindan una comprensión más clara de esta posición y su responsabilidad.

El obispo es responsable de la administración de los sacramentos y de nutrir la doctrina y las enseñanzas de la Iglesia en su diócesis. Encima, tiene la autoridad para nombrar y asignar sacerdotes a diferentes parroquias.

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Estas estipulaciones son seguidas por todas las confesiones cristianas, aunque con algunas diferencias, como por ejemplo en la cuestión del celibato.

Worse yet, there are churches who do not know what to look for and so may depend upon surveys and Christian consulting firms to aid their decision. Eventually they hire him and months or several years later, he leaves the ministry. Church members may have been critical of him in the final year or months and now they are glad he is gone. He is called a failure. Why do situations like this happen?
